  1. WHEN IS THE CONFERENCE?

    FEB 16-17, 2024. Our days are filled with learning in keynotes, workshops, and panels. Our evenings are intentionally open to encourage connections.

    The 2024 Flourish Media Conference will be held at Scott Galvin Community Center, an easily accessible venue in North Miami, FL.

  3. WHO SHOULD ATTEND #FMC24?

    • I am a woman entrepreneur seeking business funding to create a sustainable company that offers jobs and joy.

    • I am a female business owner or someone interested in connecting to female business owners.

    • I started a business and am looking for advice and guidance from professionals. I want to learn how to grow my business using social media and other digital tools.

    • I am a public relations, marketing, or policy professional who is interested in working with diverse businesswomen.

    • I am ready to grow my business and accept major funding from investors.

  4. SHOULD I APPLY TO ATTEND IN PERSON?

    Yes. If you are unsure if your business is in the position to pitch your service or product(s) to investors, you can apply for a $25 non-refundable fee to gain insight before purchasing your in-person Two-Day Pass ($250). Please note, only in-person vendors have the opportunity to pitch their business to angel investors and funders during the event. Virtual Ticket holders do not have this perk.

  5. WHEN IS THE DEADLINE TO APPLY TO SPEAK AT #FMC24?

    The deadline to apply is October 23, 2023. Acceptance letters will be sent on November 8, 2023.

  6. DO I HAVE TO APPLY BEFORE BUYING MY IN-PERSON TICKET?

    Nope! If you believe your business is in the position to pitch your business to investors for the opportunity to secure business funding, then you’re in the right place! Applications are intended for businesses that are not sure if they are in the position to present.

  7. HOW CAN I ATTEND IN PERSON?

    Apply! The last day to apply is January 25, 2024. Once accepted, you are invited to purchase our Two-Day Pass where you will have the opportunity to attend #FMC24 in person. Buy your ticket HERE!

  8. WHERE CAN I BUY VIRTUAL TICKETS?

    This ticket is perfect for a business owner who does not want to travel to Florida and is interested in learning about investor readiness through branding, visibility, and funding. Purchase your Virtual Ticket HERE!

  9. DO VIRTUAL TICKETHOLDERS GET TO PITCH?

    No, this opportunity is only for in-person attendees.

  10. IF I MISSED THE DEADLINE, CAN I STILL PITCH MY BUSINESS?

  11. I HAVE A NONPROFIT, CAN I PITCH?

    Historically our investors have not invested in nonprofits. We wouldn’t recommend using this opportunity for nonprofits, but you are welcome to attend in person or virtually to build relationships.

  13. I AM NOT A BUSINESS OWNER, CAN I BENEFIT FROM ATTENDING THE FLOURISH MEDIA CONFERENCE?

    Totally! When you attend the conference one of the revelations we hope you experience is the ability to obtain years of wisdom by having a short conversation with more experienced business owners who have “been there and done that.”  You benefit by problem-solving and sharing ideas with WOMEN LIKE YOU. You will learn a lot from the panels, keynotes, and workshops, but you will have an opportunity to learn even more from the informal interactions you will have during the meals, social events, and the COZY adventures you and your new conference buddies will have exploring Miami when the conference is not in session!

  15. WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

    Wear Your Brand! We get this question often ^.^ Wear whatever is comfortable. Whether you are a service professional, product creator, or hobbyist, you have a “brand.” We do not have a dress code. Just be yourself!

    If you are participating in #FMC23 as an attendee, we do recommend wearing business attire because of the business opportunities that await you. Throughout the event angel investors, funders, and other influential business leaders will be present. Creating a great first impression is always key to establishing a successful connection. If you are still not sure, dress to impress. Some people wear heels and jeans while a few wear full business suits. We are a diverse group brought together by a passion for growth - not our choices in fashion. 

  16. WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

    Your favorite notebook and pen for note taking, business cards, any materials you deem necessary for networking and/or pitching (This includes paper handouts, business products, other related materials, etc.).

  17. IS THERE A HOTEL ROOM BLOCK?

    This year we will not be offering a room block.

  18. WHAT HOTELS ARE NEARBY THE EVENT?

    Best Western Plus Windsor Inn, The Altair Hotel, Ivory on the Bay, and Grand Beach Hotel are lovely recommendations!

  19. CAN MEN ATTEND?

    Of course! We always like to say “Women-focused, Men friendly.” Purchase a ticket and come celebrate with us!

  20. CAN CHILDREN ATTEND?

    Yes! We understand the difficulties of securing childcare, and because of this children are welcome to attend :) All we ask is that you let us know prior to the event, February 10th is the preferred deadline.

When is the last day I can purchase my in-person ticket?

You can purchase in-person tickets up until February 16, 2024

Can I attend with a guest?

We are not offering Buddy Passes at this time. Only guests who will be pitching their business will have the option to attend with (1) extra guest. Email celeste@flourishmediaco.com before moving forward if this applies to you.

Do I need to wear a mask during this event?

Nope!


faq: VIRTUAL TICKET HOLDERS

Can I pitch my business?

No, this opportunity is only given to those who attend in person. But you are invited to watch the Live Stream on February 18. An email will be sent prior to the event with a special link inviting you to join. Buy your Virtual Ticket HERE!

Do I qualify for the $1,000 small business grant?

Yes, every attendee is entered to win one of the Small Business Grants.

Where can I access the live streams?

Live Streams will take place via Zoom with a portion via our Private Facebook page. Join HERE!

Where do Virtual Ticket Holders go to watch the event?

Crowdcast! We will email the link on the morning of the event. Keep an eye out for that to come your way!

FAQ: in-person VENDORS

When should I arrive to set up?

Doors open an hour prior to the event. Please arrive at 8:00 a.m. to begin setting up your assigned area.

Will my spot be assigned?

Yes, once you arrive please find Celeste Walsh! She will assist you:)

Are tables and chairs provided?

Yup!

Is lunch included?

No, lunch is not included with the Vendor Ticket holders.

When am I expected to have people shop at my booth?

There are designated times throughout the event when attendees are encouraged to shop! This includes before, during lunch, and after the event. The schedule will be published towards the end of January.

Where do I park?

There is paid parking and street parking on sight. Please plan accordingly.

What should I bring to include in the Gift Bags?

Please bring business cards, full products and/or samples, discounts, and special offers to the event so we can add these items to the Gift Bags.

Will I be expected to give a speech?

Nope!

How long will attendees be able to shop?

Attendees have the option to shop throughout our Vendor Power Hours and before/after the event.

Is my business included in the Virtual Presentation & gift bag?

Yes! We will showcase your business and special offer to our all attendees. 

Should I promote the event?

Absolutely! The more eyes that see promotions about #FMC23 the better for everyone:)

Where do I send my gift bag items?

What do I include in the Virtual Gift Bag?

You can include discount code(s), online special offers, business ecards, etc.

Do I have access to the virtual portion of the conference?

Yes! As a thank you for being a part of #FMC24 you will receive a special link to our virtual portion of the event. Please expect an email with that link prior to the event.

Nope! That’s it! Just sit back and relax until February 16!

Do I have to attend both days of the event?

No, but you are welcome to! All that we ask is that you tell us in writing if you plan to attend both days.

Please arrive at 10a.m., we will be announcing the grant winners on February 17, 2024.

What should I bring with me?
